Before being licensed to practice law in Virginia, an applicant must submit evidence to the Board that he or she has, within two calendar years of the time he or she passes the Virginia Bar Examination, achieved a scaled score of 85 or better on the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination administered by the designee of the National Conference of Bar Examiners.
The MPRE is a fifty-question, two-hour, multiple choice test given in March, August, and November of each year at various locations across the country.
