I HAVE NOT YET GRADUATED FROM LAW SCHOOL
You will need to request a Certificate of Enrollment. This is a letter on your law school stationery, with applicable seal, stating that you are duly enrolled in your third year with an anticipated graduation date of what day, month and year.
Upon your graduation, you will need to obtain a Certificate of Graduation, which must be an original letter on your law school’s stationery, with applicable seal, stating the day, month and year of your graduation and the type of degree that you received. Your Certificate of Graduation must be personally signed by the president, dean, or other proper official. You should submit this document as soon as possible after your graduation, but NO later than two (2) weeks prior to the bar exam. Certificates with stamped signatures, transcripts, diplomas, etc. do not comply with the rules.
I AM A LAW SCHOOL GRADUATE

FOREIGN LAW SCHOOL GRADUATE
You will need to provide evidence of your foreign legal education, your LLM degree from an ABA approved law school, and a Dean’s certificate from a Virginia ABA law school or meet the requirements of Option (ii) of the Transition Rule for Applicants with Foreign Legal Training.
COMPLETED LAW READER PROGRAM
Final Attorney’s Certificate signed by your supervising attorney verifying completion of the Law Reader Program requirements.
